In many Photovoltaic Systems, the load-break switch required by the IEC 60364-7-712 Standard is located in the Inverter. As a result the lines between the Solar Modules and the Inverter are still live even after disconnection. According to ÖVE guideline R11-1: 2022 PV Systems require a fire protection disconnection device.

With PV Systems, there is a risk that despite switching off the AC Voltage Circuit, even due to artificial light incidence, the Voltage may be present on the DC side.
